Tell Us About Them:

My brother was a kind, loving person. Very funny. Very generous. Always there to help those around him.

Tell Us About Their Struggles With Addiction:

My brother struggled with drug addiction since he was 13. Started with alcohol and marijuana. He didn't get into the harder stuff until he was in his twenties. He went into several rehabs over the years. He just couldn't keep clean. About 7 years ago it really escalated into stealing from friends and families, robbing someone at a convenient store and of course jail time.

What Made Them Smile?

Camping and farming. After some time in jail he was in a halfway house and eventually hired to work on a farm. He loved it. He was really good at farming and rearing animals. It was the happiest I had ever seen him.

What Do You Miss the Most About Them?

His enthusiasm over the smallest things in life. He was a simple man. When he was clean he was happy, kind and generous.

If You Had a Chance to Say One More Thing to Your Angel What Would It Be?

If I had any idea that the last time I saw you would be the last time forever I would have ended our conversation with I love you.

Not the cuddly cute ones, but he broken ones and the ones with a bad rap. Kelly struggled in a few different aspects of life but the one thing she never struggled with was the love for her family. It brought her more hurt to know what she was doing to us rather then herself. She passed away last summer from a heroin overdose. She was far away in California trying to find a way to be clean. She hung on long enough for my family to fly from CT to be with her before she passed. I love you Kelly and I'll carry you with me in my heart forever.
