Tell Us About Them:

My mom was one of the most loving and caring human beings I've ever met. She made an amazing mother, wife, and RN. She had two children, whom she loved more than anything. She was smart, funny, and selfless.

Tell Us About Their Struggles With Addiction:

Many people did not know she struggled with addiction.. She was one of those all A students who you just knew would go Ivy League, someone you would never expect to be an addict. She didn't look like an addict, she was beautiful. She didn't have addict tendencies, poor job, poor living conditions. She didn't have a bad home life like most people assume is how you become an addict. She was just your everyday average mother, who suffered with an addiction nobody saw coming.

What Made Them Smile?

Her family. There isn't a single picture you can find where she isn't smiling ear to ear around her family. Some of my fondest memories include my mom & I sitting and watching The Golden Girls and eating dunkin donuts.

What Do You Miss the Most About Them?

I miss my mom's I love you's the most. I miss her dropping me off to school and telling me she loves me more, every single day. I miss the way she laughed and how her face would get so red. I miss the way she cared more than anyone, even when it was a tad bit ridiculous. I remember one time I was eating hot spaghetti o's. I told her my chest started to hurt (probably because I scarfed down hot soup) but not even 15 minutes later she was crying her eyes out as I'm being taken in an ambulance.. Turns out I had heartburn lol.

If You Had a Chance to Say One More Thing to Your Angel What Would It Be?

Mom,
I wish you could have been here for all my accomplishments. In the past 10 years I've gone to prom, graduated high school, gone to college, even picked my career. I wish you could have been there to remind me how important school is when I needed it the most. I wish you could have been my shoulder to cry on when i went through all the heartbreaks. I wish you could have come to my cheerleading competitions (I've gotten really good since Salvation Army) I wish you could have been there to do all the things mom's do.. Even though you haven't been with me these past 10 years, thank you for making me stronger. Thank you for helping to guide me to the right path. I'll always love you more.
