Jeffrey was a big lover of sports especially basketball. He loved to skateboard he would practice till he perfected it. He always remembered holidays and birthdays. No matter what he was doing or where he was I always got a call for The holidays and my birthday even if he had to borrow someone’s phone. He was proud he was going to be a father. I miss him so much

Tell us about their struggles with substance use disorder

Jeffrey was ADHD and on Dexedrine from the time he was 6 ,at 12 he was smoking pot. I’m not sure when he started drinking but by 15 I’m pretty sure he was using any drug he could get his hands on. He was in and out of rehabs from 16 on. I think he got into heroin when he was 25.

What made them smile?

My fried chicken and skateboarding.

What do you miss the most about them today?

I Knowing I will never get another phone call or text from him again
