Tell Us About Them:

A.J. was my big brother. He was such a bright, happy, strong man. He always tried to make you smile when you were down. He was an All-Area Wrestling Champ, and Regional Qualifier. A.J. always was a fighter. He was my hero.

Tell Us About Their Struggles With Addiction:

A.J.'s addiction started with pills, hanging out with all the wrong people that got him face to face with heroin. I would say he experimented with drugs for 10 years total, but depended on heroin for 5 years. A.J. was in and out of rehab 3 times and one 3 month stint in jail. Nothing seemed to stick. Finally, November 2015, after landing himself in the hospital, A.J. moved in with our father and found God again. He was baptized, and all felt right with the world. Then February 2, 2016, we got the phone call.... That dreadful phone call no one ever wants to receive. Heroin laced with fentanyl, accidental overdose.

What Made Them Smile?

His daughter, Leigh Marie. and his Girlfriend, Alyssa.

What Do You Miss the Most About Them?

I miss his smile, laugh, and hugs.

If You Had a Chance to Say One More Thing to Your Angel What Would It Be?

I love you, so much.
